Oh yeah, it's about pinball....
Here is the game garage as it starts to take shape. This is a bit of a mish-mash, but you can figure it out. Guess I'll reorganize this sometime in the future, but for right now, here it is. Click on any photo you'd like to see.

Game garage painted but still not set up. |
Glamor shot of 5 games. What am I getting into here? Made all these games work, but now I gotta make 'em pretty too. |
The Paradise story...athough this cabinet is not perfect, I think it's better than the tacky red spray paint, someone, somewhere put on it. I was able to strip the red off to reveal the original factory paint job with Goof Off. |

Paradise, Gottlieb, 1965. Hula girl in back box but somebody took out the mechanism, so time to improvise because the chick HAS to hula when this project is done! Too cool! |
Playfield shot (before repair)--oh, the source---- Craigslist, barn in Napa, CA, no pf glass, guy gonna restore someday, storage longtime, great potential, I was looking for this title |
Inside (there were mice living in here at one time) and it was much dirtier than it is here. Damn if this wasn't a diamond in the rough. Very rough in places, I might add. CHALLENGE. |
Here is a close-up of the outholes or as I like to call them the "juggler saucers" before repair and touch-up. These I felt were so bad, they needed help. The rest of the playfield was VERY dirty, with melted rubber in little pieces and what was probably mouse piss. This pin was stored a LONG time. But after clean-up, there was just a small bit of touch-up other than the saucers. |

After first application of JB weld, there is no turning back. Of course there was lots of work to be done in the backbox and cabinet, and some touch-up on the backglass. Every leaf switch needed to be burnished and there was a multitude of problems that needed individual attention. Something must be said for the problems I had with the roto-target from hell. But, instead, I'll leave it at that. Fast forward 6 months... |
Here she is complete, done, completely operational! YES! I really like the art on this game and all the features of it as well. |
The playfield after touch-up and seal. I only cleared the parts that were touched-up and then rubbed/waxed. Rebuilt pops, flips, slings, etc. |
Cabinet with original patina. The cabinet shows the life it has led, though the playfield presents itself in a different, "newer" light. I'm OK with that, you can't play the cabinet! Thanks goes out to Cliffy (www.passionforpinball.com) for his help on pf touch-up and Russ (GOCATGO) for all his help on everything. You wanna see a perty pin, check out his Pleasure Isle, the Add a Ball version of this game! Sweeeeet! |
