AMI F-120

My first love. Initial cost: $80. After 2 years of restoration: priceless. I loved it because it was a real jukebox! Here is the F-120 in my version of "Atoll Coral". This jukebox was manufactured in 1954 in 8 colors and in 3 different models; the 40, the 80 and the 120--- denoting the amount of selections available to the customer. It boasts "Sonoramic Sound" which pretty much was just a buzz term. The sound coming from these models, however homely looking, is about as good as it gets for 1954. They really DO sound great! This was a complete restoration.

The backdrop behind the mech is of course, not original. And I added a small mirror ball and spot light hidden behind the title holder section that comes on when a song plays. All the music in this machine has the word "dance", "boogie" or "shake" in the title, or the name of a dance. What do you expect from an x-disco dj? The "120 Selections" sticker took a year and a half wait so below, you see the old one and the new one.

Thanks to Ed Myers for his time on this one trying to teach me the ins and outs of electronics and mechanics. Without him, this machine would still be in the garage. HEY, THANKS, ED!
